Before you start to apply your new Gooru we suggest you take a minute to prepare yourself and read these instructions thoroughly. Although Gooru is easy to apply, it does require a little patience for larger items. Make sure you prep your surface first. You will need a smooth, clean and dry surface. If you have newly painted your walls, we recommend waiting 3 weeks for the paint to cure. Once you've applied your Gooru, you cannot easily change your mind.
It’s a good idea to plan where you are going to put your Gooru in advance of peeling off the transfer tape as it is not a reusable item. Although it can be easily removed, it will more than likely be damaged. So, we recommend you tape your design to the wall first. Please note, some Goorus come in multiple pieces while others may have smaller pieces which need to be cut out and handled individually. Be creative with your layout. Once your design is just the way you like it, you're ready for step 2.
Now it's time to transfer the weight of the Gooru to the transfer tape. Lay your design on a hard surface, graphic side down. Using the enclosed Gooru squeegee, firmly squeegee the entire design.
Start at one corner and slowly peel the paper backing away with a rolling action. Some patterns may want to stick to the paper. If this happens, stop peeling, roll back a bit, and repress the Gooru onto the transfer tape.
Place your design to its desired location and use the Gooru squeegee to squeegee the design to your surface of choice. Smooth one edge first to avoid any wrinkles or bubbles. Continue squeegeeing all the way down your design. You may want to ask a friend for help if the design is too big.
Now it's time to remove the transfer tape. Just as you did with the paper peel, slowly peel back the transfer tape. Once again, start at one corner and peel slowly in a rolling manner. As before, if any part sticks to the tape, stop peeling, roll back a bit, and repress the Gooru back to the surface (use your squeegee if you need to) and continue peeling, slowly.
You're done. Step back and admire your work!
