About your new Gooru

Ordering and Shopping Information

International Orders

I’ve just received my gooru. Now what?
Congratulations! Please open your package and read the instructions first. Although, your gooru is easy to apply, we recommend reading the instructions to save you time. If you haven’t done so already, you can check out our "How To" section. Next, plan your design and begin applying your gooru.

Where can I install gooru?
You can install gooru on most clean, dry, indoor surfaces. Make sure you clean your walls with a dry cloth to remove any dust or dirt first. Smooth surfaces like drywall are best; however, textured surfaces along the lines of orange peel are fine. You will want to make sure you really squeegee the heck out of it to make sure your gooru gets into all of the grooves.

If you have newly painted walls, STOP. We recommend waiting 3-4 weeks for your paint to cure before applying your gooru. Once your paint is cured, your gooru will adhere well to matte or satin paint. However, the more detailed patterns may not adhere to semi or high gloss paints.

Ceilings, doors, furniture, glass, wood, mirrors, metal or plastic are also other valid surfaces to apply your gooru. Please note that the less porous the surface, the more difficult it will be to remove your gooru.

Where should I NOT install my gooru?
You should NOT install your gooru to heavily textured surfaces like stucco. It will not stick. And, it will ruin your gooru. Also, do not apply your gooru to fabric. Again, it will not stick. Please also note that gooru should NOT be applied to any paper-based materials (wallpaper, paper, etc..) If you do, you will not be able to remove your gooru. It will become permanent.

How long will my gooru last?
The manufacture says it will last 3 years. Please keep your gooru out of direct sunlight as the heat may cause the adhesive on the back to heat up and could decrease the lifespan of your gooru.

Will I be able to install my new gooru by myself?
Yes. Gooru designs can be installed by one person, but we recommend having an extra set of hands to help out with the larger pieces.

Once I’ve stuck my gooru, can I move it?
No. Once it’s installed, you cannot move it.

When I decide I want to remove my gooru, how easy is it?
Removing your gooru is easy. Start at one corner and, using your fingernail, slowly peel the decal off your wall. If you’ve applied your gooru to a less pourous surface, we recommend heating it with a hairdryer (set on low heat) first. This will warm your gooru, releasing the adhesive and making it easier to peel.

Will my surfaces be damaged when I remove my gooru?
Goorus will not leave any residue on your wall when removed. However, since we cannot guarantee the condition of all wall surfaces, we cannot be certain that some paint chipping will not occur. You may notice paint chips on the back of your gooru when removed. If this happens, some minor paint touch up may be required.

How to buy?
You can place your order on-line. At the bottom of every design, there is an "add to shopping bag" button. After you have selected your design, size, and color click this button. If you want more than one of an item, you can make that change in your shopping bag. When you are ready to checkout, click the checkout button and follow the instructions on screen.

Is the payment secure?
Yes. All payments are secure, and we will never store your credit card information on our servers.

I just placed an order online. What will I receive and how long until I receive it?
All gooru orders are manufactured to order. It can take up to 7-10 business days to process an order and then orders are shipped via UPS Ground. You will receive a confirmation email that we have received your order. You will then receive a second confirmation email that notifies you once your order has shipped. When your gooru arrives it will come in a tube rolled up along with a squeegee and instructions. Depending on the size of your gooru, you may receive multiple pieces in your tube.

How can I check the status of my order?
Once your order has been shipped, you will be emailed a tracking number. At that time, you will be able to check the UPS shipping site for further information.

Do you take returns?
Gooru Art does not offer refunds or accept returns. We will offer an exchange for any items that are not completely satisfactory, with the exception of any custom orders. All custom orders are final and may not be exchanged. Exchanges are accepted within 7 days of the date of receipt. Your gooru must be returned in perfect, unopened condition. Please email us at customer_service@gooruart.com for the address. Please note that gooru does not offer shipping and handling credit on returned merchandise.

Where can I see the complete list of available colors?
As not all goorus are offered in every color, please refer to the specific product page for their offered colors. Please note, the colors listed are very close to the actual gooru material but because of the variation in computer monitors, they will not be an exact match. If you are in doubt, email us at customer_service@gooruart.com for a color swatch. The first 5 swatches are free. Any additional requests will cost $5.00.
